N O T I C E
Members may please note the following:
The Order of the Charity Commissioner dated 31st October 2025 specifying that individuals who have been admitted as members of the Asiatic Society of Mumbai upto 3rd October 2025 will be eligible to vote at the elections to be held on 8th November 2025.
Members with over-dues with the Library must return all books/periodicals/other dues prior to voting.
Members must carry their Membership Cards (ID-card) in order to be eligible to vote.
As regards election to the Managing Committee, of the six persons elected, the one with the least number of votes will get a tenure of two years, which is the residual term, as per established electoral precedent.

N O T I C E
The Notice dated 9th September 2025 was sent to the members informing that the 221st AGM will be held on 27th September 2025; and that elections will be held later in view of the Order delivered on 6th August 2025 by the Charity Commissioner.
Members are hereby informed that the elections will now be held on Saturday, 8th November 2025. Members are requested to assemble at 3.15 p.m. in the Durbar Hall of the Society. The voting will take place in the MM Dr. P.V. Kane Research Room of the Society at 3.30 p.m.

1. To invite vote counters and scrutineers for the election.
*2. To elect the office bearers for two years (2025-2027) - President, 4 Vice-Presidents, and Hon. Secretary; to elect 5 members of the Managing Committee for a period of three years (2025-2028 term); and to fill one post of the Managing Committee which has fallen vacant (as per Rule No.15), for a period of two years 2025-27 (being the residual period of the term 2024-2027)
*3. To elect a Scrutinizing Committee consisting of seven members for the year 2025-2026.
