Due to the Oath Taking Ceremony of the New Government of Maharashtra to be held at the Azaad Maidan, the Office and the Library of the Asiatic Society of Mumbai will be closed at 3.30 p.m. today to permit the staff to go home safely.

As per the Government of Maharashtra Notification dated 4th December 2024, Friday, 6th December 2024, has been declared as a holiday on account of “Mahaparinirvan Din / Commemoration Day (68th Death Anniversary of Bharat Ratna Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Mahaparinirwan).
In view of the above, Members may note that the Office and the Library of the Asiatic Society of Mumbai will remain closed on Friday, 6th December 2024.
