The Literary Club of the Asiatic Society of Mumbai takes pleasure in inviting you to a talk by Sumathi Sridhar on her recently published book in Tamil “Deivangalin Ayudhangal” on Friday 15th March 2024 at 5.00 p.m. in the Durbar Hall of the Asiatic Society of Mumbai.

The talk titled “Weapons of our Gods” will be in English and will cover key aspects of the book which traces the iconographic evolution of Indic deities (Hindu, Folk and Buddhist), and weapons they wield over the Vedic, Epic and Puranic periods of Indian history.

Sumathi Sridhar is a financial analyst turned Indic culture and mythology enthusiast. She is a visiting faculty member for the course in Advanced Diploma at the University of Mumbai. She writes and speaks on mythology in both English and Tamil. She runs a YouTube channel “Kulture Katha” where she shares lesser known stories from the wondrous universe of Indian lore.
