The Mumbai Research Centre of the Asiatic Society of Mumbai is delighted to invite you to a special exhibition walkthrough titled “In the Dappled Light” led by Paul Abraham, Founder, Sarmaya Arts Foundation.
Sarmaya's upcoming exhibition draws from a theme that's represented abundantly in its collection: nature. Starting with the Tree of Life, Sarmaya explores the influence of the natural world on all human endeavours. The curation of modern and contemporary Indian art, Indigenous traditions and historical artefacts, like 19th-century photographs, will examine the role of nature in art, science and spirituality.
This exclusive session will feature special objects that are not part of the exhibition display, offering unique insights into the Sarmaya collection.
