Instagram Live Sessions: Live broadcasts over the social network Instagram (Our handle is @jashnmumbai). These will consist of a member of the organizing committee chatting freely with participants in the festival as well as eminent citizens of the city. These sessions, which started on 18th November, will run for a month on a nearly daily basis, and are intended to raise interest in the festival among social media users. Growing Up in Bombay: An online activity primarily for senior citizens and expatriates who can reminisce about the Bombay of yore – like trams and double decker buses, restaurants, bookstores and theatres that have closed, streets and localities whose identities have changed completely, and so on. Forgotten Mumbai: An activity for school, college and university students only. Participants are required to register online and subsequently make a ten-minute presentation about hidden or forgotten aspects of Mumbai’s heritage, tangible, intangible or natural, such as tram tracks, gas lamps, fire hydrants, railway paraphernalia, theatre companies, avian visitors, endemic animals and plants etc. They may send in their entries to This email address is being protected from spambots. Mumbai Heritage Quiz: Open to all citizens, this quiz will cover the History & Culture of Bombay including Natural, Built and Intangible Heritage, Important Personalities and Events and other aspects. A written preliminary will be held at 4 PM on 12th December 2020. The prelim will last for an hour, delivered over Google Forms, and have 50 one-word answer and multiple choice questions to be answered in 30 minutes. 6 finalist teams will be selected for a live quiz on 18th December 2020. Those wishing to participate may fill in this form.
